Brother Ken is in town

Brother Ken is in town to do something and so we (SC, Mei, Mei’s bf and Me) decide to meet up with him for dinner. I suggested this place, Yuki Yaki at Marina Square which my brother had just been there last week. This shop is actually under the Suki group where there got this buffet type concept to eat all you can. Yuki Yaki is focus on Do-It-Yourself (DIY). When we go in, it is actually like a normal steamboat shop where we cook on our own. The additional thing is the grill pan for us to grill or fried our food. When we sat down there, the waitress was asking us whether we want to have our DIY ice-cream or not, there will be an extra charged of $2 per person. Without much consideration, I just say, “YES!!!”

The steamboat dishes are nothing special and variety is not that much but what we enjoy most is the time of having our dinner together and has a small gathering outside our country. Besides that, the charges includes of sushi as well as free flow of drinks. Highlight of the dinner is the DIY ice-cream session. At first we are really into making the ice-cream to make it edible ice-cream (pour in

the ice-cream mixture, flatten then turn and flatten and turn until it frozen and become in the shape of an ice-cream).    Later after a few time the waiter, “Danny ” showing us of how to do art with the ice-cream, we starts to play around with it to make it into shapes of human, flowers, sun, characters etc. This can be a normal dinner but it became especially relax and out of the working stress we faced everyday in the office. We are able to eat and play like a kid at the restaurant. So enjoyable and happy.

A good day starts with a good breakfast moreover it is a surprise breakfast given by Mr. XOXOX. I walked out from the MRT station and saw a familiar face standing in front of me. In his hands he doesn’t hold anything and he said that I am late for work so he sends me to work. I tot I am going to have a McDonald’s breakfast but he brings me straight to his car. Actually… (Surprise!!!) the breakfast is already inside his car. I am so happy and contented with such a nice morning.

Further for the day, I went to People’s Park (Chinatown) at Singapore to shop for CNY. The atmosphere there is super good although there is a big crowd over there. I get to buy something but all the things are not for CNY celebration. Haha…. Enjoy looking around for some traditional thing which is rare to in this lion city.

Last but not least, the final part of the day, I went to this “Tang Shui Café” with TSC for some dessert before I go back home to have my sweet dreams. This is our first time to this café as I saw it in a program in Channel 8 introducing their desserts. When we went there, we straight away order the three desserts that were advertised (we are too greedy as we are not able to finish  all of them). They even printed the three desserts in an extra large menu just for that three. After tried, the comment is, the desserts are special but the taste is so so only. The best one I will say is the peach stuff with red beans and put to fried. Crispy skin but soft and sweet peach and red bean in there.Well decorated as well. Yummy!

Today is Sunday, how I wish I could stay longer at home with my mum and do some more spring cleaning which I had started to do it when I get home yesterday afternoon. But because of my interest in watching the movie, “27 dresses”, I came in early to Singapore to catch the movie. The movie is not showing in Malaysia yet. To me, this movie suits me so much as it mentioned about a lady who likes so much about being a bridesmaid and she has been a bridesmaid for 27 weddings. She keeps all the dresses she wore for those wedding. Later she throws away all those dresses at one shot after an article about her published in the paper. Others story is about some love relationship between her, a journalist, her boss and her sister. At the end of the story, she managed to show her love to the journalist bravely in the public and then they got married. To someone, it might be a stupid story which doesn’t brings much meaning. I say this movie suits me because it consists of dresses that I like, love story and also the hope of all ladies to attend to their own wedding.

Happiness from the beginning of weekend and the business during the weekend is so short for me. I came back to work on this Monday with so much of stress because my manager is going for a business trip overseas. At night, I even get a call for someone who is once very close to me. The call makes me happy yet makes me sad because I get to know all my effort in the pass has gone to waste. I brought someone to the heaven and now I brought this person to the hell again. I am so confuse about what I should do for now. I should be the angel again or should I continue to be the devil? Nobody can tell me what to do because nobody knows what I should do also. Please pray for me and wish me a Happy Chinese New Year!

Today I suppose to be celebrating a best friend birthday with him but unfortunately I didn’t get to do so because he has another date to attend. I wanted to meet him yesterday but he is also busy with his work and “put airplane” to me. Although he might not feel anything but I feel a bit guilty for not celebrating his birthday with him since he is the only one to celebrate for me in Singapore. I still owe hi m a present but not good to give belated gift, how??? What should I do? Hope he can read this and give me a reply what I should do. Haha…..

Wow, finally today arrived because me and my sisters already plan to go KL for a shopping trip one month before this date. We wake up so early in the morning and dress ourselves up. I start my car at about 6.55am to fetch them and we had breakfast together. We met with Caroline’s father during our breakfast and once again we persuade him to let Caroline to go with us but it is too late. We manage to reach KL very early as there is a smooth traffic and we start the shopping war after we check in to our hotel and our lunch at Sg. Wang. OMG, we went back to the hotel with our hands full of bags and our tired leg. It is already 10.30pm that time. After some trying of clothes, rest and bath, we had our supper at “Murni” in PJ and here we get to meet our new friend “Siow Ting” and “Jesse”(this is a guy). Ops, for not getting scold; we met a new friend “Ah Phak” at Sg Wang. Three of them are Hester and Dawn’s friends. The funniest this we had at night is when the other four of them draw lots for the sleeping position and who need to wake up earliest and second earliest to have the free breakfast. Why do I say four of them? This is because I am the driver and I got the priviledge to sleep more. Haha…..

When we wake up the this morning, we didn’t waste any second or minutes of our time. We went to Sg. Wang again to get whatever we wanted to get but we didn’t get. Shop like crazy… Today also I get a bit surprise when there is someone makes a special bento for me. Although it doesn’t look like the one in the email but really spend some effort to do it. Quite happy with it…. J Lastly there is a “shit shit pull handbrake incident” which I think not really suitable to mention here. Hahaha….. Those who knew it, just have a laugh yourself la…. Today is also a special day for my cousin sister who is getting married today. Sorry for being late to the wedding because I’m rushing back from KL. The dinner is until quite late and thanks for the mystery driver who send me back to Singapore.

Last night I was so tired when I reach home and I reach home quite late last night. Feel so sleepy in the office although I got so many things to do but…… there is this surprise given to me in the office. OMG…. Somebody send me a table top flower…when the receptionist send the flower to my office, I was like, “Is this for me? Are you kidding?” but on the card, is my name, “Phaye” on the card. My sleepiness has gone and left with me my happiness and query of who is the one to send this flower to me, XOXOX?? But finally I manage to know who this is. My mystery driver… Thanks ya…. J

Work hour is from 8.15 to 12.30 today. I went to Clark Quay, The Central to meet up with Meimei. We shop, chat and waiting together for the arrival of SC, Hikki and HuiLi. We had dinner together at Billy Bombers and we exchange Christmas present before we dismiss on that day (this exchange present idea come out when we are so boring sitting on a bad sofa in a café). The present is bought within 30mins and we met up at the same place. This is my Christmas Eve, didn’t even when for a count down or what, didn’t get to go Orchard also for this year but at least I got some present. (^.^)

I went to Vivo with a friend came from so far away just to deliver the present to me. A bit unfortunate is that he is not feeling well on that day and he is not able to enjoy nice food with me but….we went for Haagen Dazs ice-cream. I got my first time eating at Haagen Dazs and it is also my first time watching movie in Singapore. “Honestly, the chair in the cinema is uncomfortable, I prefer JB or KL cinema.”

I was in KL meeting up with my friends (course mates). There was a small gathering at the Look Out Point which is so nice. The people there is nice, the food there is ok and the view there is super nice. I am able to see the whole KL at that Point. The most enjoyable thing is the time we gather together, chat with each other about the things happened. Besides, I went to the newly open shopping complex in KL, The Pavilion and The Garden. Both are nice shopping complex but it is more to high-end concept (not that suitable for me). Feels great when I get to stay with CK, 01 and SC in a small condo. Feel even greater when I get to taste the “Ka Ka bak kut the” that I am missing for so long. Haha…..

For people at my age, they should have a nice celebration or count down party for the New Year. I came back from KL and reach home quite late on 31.12.2007 so my count down is so simple just in front of the TV. I just came out from the bathroom and sit on my sofa, the TV was showing the count down party in Singapore and I was there to count from 10 with them and I wish my mum (who is the only one sitting in the living room with me) a Happy New Year and I went to sleep. That’s it, my count down party. Haha….  I went for another movie on this day before I get home, I fell and I get myself a big blue black on my leg. Because of this, I don’t dare to wear skirt or shorts for more than one week.L Anyway, I think this fall will not effect  me in the coming year as I can always stand up and walk again. There are so many things going to change in this year and my only hope is to do well in my career. “Happy New Year!!”

I did a spring cleaning to my room today. There are so many things that I keep for remembrance but today I am going to throw away or give out all of them. A bit sad to do so but forced myself to do so. Those things already with me for more than 10 years or 15 years are still there. OMG…I am like “Karang Guni” but those things means so much to me. I cried when I was keeping my things but what to do, I should let go of the pass and looking forward for the new future. Gambateh ne!!!

Today I get to found out that so many people already know about the things happened to me. I didn’t blame anyone for it because I know everyone will get to know soon. Even “U” didn’t tell them, I will also tell them, so don’t blame yourself. Actually I really would like to thank you all for being with me and let me feel the love and friendship among us. I cherish this friendship and I know that it is going to last forever. J
